Jewellery

The jewellery project began in 2009, offering women an alternative to working on the dump, an opportunity to earn much needed income, and a chance to explore their creativity. With the sale of each necklace, their confidence increases and they are encouraged in their hope for a better life. All proceeds from each sale go directly to the woman who created it. What began as a simple idea and only one style of necklace has grown into a small business for the women, with many beautiful styles of necklaces, bracelets and earrings. Their jewellery is sold at tourist markets in Puerto Vallarta and through home shows, and various events in Canada and the United States.
